Derek Carter BSc, MSc, FAusIMM (CP)
Chairman
Derek Carter has over 40 years experience in exploration and mine geology, including 17 years in management of ASX-listed exploration companies. He held senior positions in the Shell Group of Companies and Burmine Ltd before founding Minotaur in 1993. He was Managing Director of Minotaur from its inception until early 2010 when he became Chairman of that company. He is also Chairman of Petratherm Ltd, and is a Director of both Mithril Resources Ltd and Toro Energy Ltd, all of which are listed on the ASX.
He was Vice President and later, President, of the South Australian Chamber of Mines and Energy and was a Director of the Australian Gold Council. He is a member of the South Australian Resources Development Board, and the South Australian Minerals and Petroleum Experts Group and is a board member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallury (AusIMM).
He was awarded AMEC's Prospector of the Year Award (jointly) in 2003, is a Centenary medalist and was recently honored with the President's Award from the AusIMM.
Andrew Woskett has 30 years experience in resources development and management. He has project managed copper, gold, nickel, iron ore, silica and coal projects variously through feasibility, project execution and management. He entered the mining industry in 1981 through Minenco, a CRA group company, prior to which he had spent several years in heavy civil construction and building. Andrew has been on the board of a number of public companies and has been managing director of mineral resource development companies listed either on ASX or AIM. Andrew has a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering (Swinburne University of Technology) and holds a Master of Commercial Law (Deakin University). He is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
Richard Bonython B Ag Sc
Non Executive Director
Richard Bonython has over 40 years experience in the building, construction, rural and mining exploration industries. In the last 20 years he has principally been involved in the mining industry and has been influential in the formation and ultimate listing of several mineral exploration groups. He was a director of Minotaur Gold NL and was an executive director of Minotaur Resources Ltd and is presently a non-executive director of Mithril Resources Ltd and Petratherm Ltd.
He was Chairman of Diamin Resources NL for 15 years and an executive director of Pioneer Property Group for 18 years. He also provides consulting services on corporate matters.
Tony Belperio PhD, BSc (Hons)
Exploration Director
Tony Belperio is a geologist with over 30 years experience in a broad range of geological disciplines including environmental, marine and exploration geology. He has held research positions at the Universities of Adelaide and Queensland, and was Chief Geologist with the South Australian Department of Mines and Energy prior to joining the Minotaur Group. He held the positions of Chief Geologist with Minotaur Gold, Minotaur Resources and Minotaur Exploration from 1996 to 2007.
He has been awarded the University of Adelaide's Tate Memorial Medal, the Geological Society of Australia's Stillwell Award in 1993, and AMEC's Prospector of the Year (jointly) in 2003 and in 2011 was awarded the Bruce Webb Medal for his contributions to the Earth Sciences.
Donald Stephens FCA BAcc
Company Secretary
Donald Stephens is a Chartered Accountant and corporate advisor with over 20 years experience in the accounting industry, including 14 years as a partner of HLB Mann Judd Stephens, a firm of Chartered Accountants.
He is a non-executive director and Company Secretary to Mithril Resources Ltd and is Company Secretary to Petratherm Ltd and Toro Energy Limited. He holds other directorships with private companies and provides corporate advisory services to a wide range of corporations.
